My babies.

about geekisms, guilty pleasures, just me, the little things.

I know it has been a little while since I have updated… as per my last post, my experiences with the Red Cross have been kind of a mixed bag. I was all smiles at first but then there was a minor mistake and I went only to be turned away without giving, which happened TWICE, actually. I haven’t been uber-upset about it. It upset me that I wasted time and gas but it kind of bothered me more that their entire campaign is that, “Every time you donate, you save three lives” so it stands to be said that, “Every time you don’t donate, you destroy three lives.” Way to uphold the motto, guys. Way to go.

On another note, as the title reads, I have babies now. Not like, literal babies. They’re not human and they’re probably a little older than I give them credit for… They don’t have names yet but I do have pictures.

Here is fishy #1…!

And here is fishy #2…! (AKA Cowfish)

It started as a one-fish deal but when I bought fish #1, I saw fish #2 and it was love. I couldn’t leave him behind! He doesn’t look it so much in the picture (the flash luminated a lot of his hidden color) but he kind of reminds me of a cow. When you see him in more natural light, his body is kind of this faded purple and his tail looks all white with dark blue tips. I have no idea why this reminds me of a cow… but he is amazing. He looks a little sickly but I think it is just because he went from cup to condo in no time flat!

The sad thing is, they had other fish there that I thought were absoloutely adorable (especially this beige one with light blue fin-tips…SEXY) but in the end I chose the two that looked the most like my babies.

Well, that is a lie. I chose fishy #1 because when I walked by his cup I noticed that he and fishy #2 were having manly displays of fin-sex. And the blue one was going psycho and it was adorable. <3 When I picked up his little cup, he thunked my fingers like "PUT ME DOWN, WOMAN!" and I loved the attitude so I nabbed him. And Cow-baby was sitting there like, "DUN LEAVE MEEEEE"

I know, I’m way too excited about these little dudes… but, whatever.

Life is short.
